Cats Season Preview: TSN (Fantasy)

A fresh new season of South Florida hockey, Jacques Martin-style, approaches! In this series, TLB will be posting links to the best, worst, and indifferent previews of our favorite felines: the 2008-09 Florida Panthers.

As an ancillary to their 30 Teams in 30 Days feature, which TLB profiled earlier today, TSN is also posting their fantasy hockey outlook for all NHL squads. A big day for the Cats at the network. Need some advice for your keeper league? Should you fall off the wallet and go for Skrastins as that pivotal seventh defenseman?

"Of course, the reason I'm qualifying whether Booth will stay on the top unit is that the Panthers did bring in veteran free agent Cory Stillman, who has scored 65 points or more in four of the last five seasons. At the very least, the 34-year-old Stillman can be expected to help on the power play."

I've never been a devout fantasy-leaguer, despite playing Yahoo! for the past decade. Always enjoyed it, and I'm in at one league so far (damn that head-to-head, Scott!). Never got past having to pick up free agent Rod Brind'Amour on the last day of the season in 2002 to put me over the top. Sold my soul on that one.
